Summary
The Drinking Game Asshole is one of the most popular card drinking games around, and can be played at both parties and casual card nights. The object of the game is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards, following the rules below. The first to do this is the president, and the last to do this is the asshole. Anyone with a higher rank than you can tell you to drink as much as they want until the next round.
Rules
To play the asshole drinking game, get a deck of cards and a table and have everyone sit around the table.
(You can only have a max of 7 players or else the deck is spread too thin)
Follow these rules to play:
Everyone can pick on the asshole and the president is the only one that no-one can touch. the game is super fun because during the next round the tides can change and the president might become the asshole. So you want to make people drink... but not too much because there is going to be payback for sure. The game might sound confusing, but its really simple.
Recap: Be the first to get rid of your cards. Rank of cards is low to high. First players out in order can tell the players who finished after them to drink during the next round. That's it!

Follow these rules to play:
- Deal out all the cards.
(This first hand is going to be used to determine each players rank during the next hand)
- The object of the game is to get rid of your cards
- The player to the left of the dealer plays first
- each player has to play an equal or higher card than the previous person
- If a player plays an identical card as the previous person, the next person drinks
- Three is the lowest card in the game...
- Two would be the lowest except that it clears the pile (everyone drinks on a clear)
- If one player plays, and no one else can beat it, it comes back to that player and clears
(everyone drinks on the clear)
Now, there is a lot of controversy over how you should order your hands and play the game. At GroupDrink, We play by "Nor-Cal" rules, where you can play a double on a single. For example, if the person in front of you plays a jack, you can beat that with a pair of 4's. And if you play that pair of fours, the person after you either needs a pair of fours, fives, sixes, etc. Or, they can beat with you with three threes or higher, etc.
Since the object of the game is to get rid of your cards, you generally want to start off playing your low cards and move towards your higher cards. Also, its usually the best idea to keep your pairs and triples together.
Now here's the drinking part of the game:
- The first person out is the president
- The second person out is the vice-president
- The last person out is the asshole and everyone else is a secretary
- Anyone who beat you in the previous round can tell you to drink as much as they want in that round
- The asshole is the beer bitch, and must shuffle the deck
