The Beer Shotgun Drinking Game turns the ever popular Beer Shotgun into a race. If you have no supplies other than beer and a sharp piece of metal, like a car key, then this is the perfect game for you. Think of it like a beer bong, except that you drink out of the can instead of a funnel and plastic tube. Read the official GroupDrink rules below.
Rules
Setup to play this drinking game is simple:
- Get each player a can of beer, like coors light or bud light
- Each player should have a piece of metal, like a car key or nail
- Follow the these rules
You should be able to drink the beer much faster than you normally would when you do a shotgun. The bigger you make the hole the faster you’ll be able to drink the beer. Make sure that you don’t cut your lip or tongue on the beer can, and please drink responsibly.

- Each player should hold their can upside down
- Poke a small hole in the side of car near the bottom
- When everyone is ready, you start the shotgun…
- Flip the can, put the hole to your mouth, and crack the beer
- Drink the can through the hole
- The first one done is the winner
