Summary
While playing this drinking game, we find it helpful to have a printed list of the rules on the table for reference. The premise of the game is that each player rolls the two dice and everyone drinks in a certain way depending on what is rolled.
Rules
If you have ever played the card game kings cup, then you’ll have a very good idea of what you should do while playing this game. There is a slight twist, however, and as the name suggests you can get stuck in drinking jail!
Player 1 rolls first, and play proceeds clockwise thereafter. Two dice are rolled, and you add the dice together to determine your roll. Then follow the rules below:
- If a (1) is rolled, you’re not using enough dice retard… Drink 5
- If a (2) is rolled, you get to make a rule*.
- If a (3) is rolled, you take 1 drink
- If a (4) is rolled, you tell 4 other people to drink 1 (or 1 person to drink 4)
- If a (5) is rolled, the person on your right takes a drink
- If a (6) is rolled, the person on your left take a drink
- If a (7) is rolled, you play categories**.
- If a (8) is rolled, you play waterfall***.
- If a (9) is rolled, you play rhyme time****.
- If a (10) is rolled, last one to put their thumb on the table drinks
- If a (11) is rolled, it’s a GroupDrink, or social.
- If a (12) is rolled, your IN JAIL. You drink on every roll by every player until someone else gets a 12 and goes to jail.
* Make a rule: Come up with a wacky rule, like no swearing or no first names. Anytime someone breaks the rule they have to take a drink.
** Categories: The roller determines a category and names something in that category. Moving clockwise, every player keeps naming something else in that category until some becomes stumped, at which point that person takes a drink. Examples include a category like Domestic Beer, and people would say Budweiser, Miller Lite, etc.
*** Waterfall: Everyone starts chugging their beer. You can’t stop until the person in front of you has stopped. The roller can stop whenever they want.
**** Rhyme Time: The roller says a short sentence, like “I love the website Groupdrink” and each person moving clockwise has to say a sentence with rhymes with that. Whoever breaks the rhyme takes a drink.
