The horseshoes drinking game is a great way to turn a normal game of horseshoes into some drinking fun. You will need a set of shoes to play this game like you would play a normal game of horseshoes, and then simply add on the official GroupDrink drinking rules below.

Setup to play this Horseshoes Drinking Game is as follows:

1. Official horseshoe pits should be a minimum of 46 ft in length
   
2. Each stake should be 14 inches above the ground
   
3. The pits on each end should be filled with sand, clay, or dirt
   
4. The shoes themselves should not weigh more than 2 lbs.
   

Ok, now for the horseshoe instructions and drinking rules:

1. Each player, or team of 2 players, stands at opposite stakes
   
2. Each player throws two horseshoes at the opposite stake
   
3. 1 point is awarded to the closest shoe not touching the stake
   
4. If you get a point, you can pass out 3 drinks to another player
   
5. 2 points are awarded to a shoe leaning up against the stake
   
6. If you get 2 points, you can pass out 6 drinks to another player
   
7. 3 points are awarded to a Ringer, or a shoe around the stake
   
8. If you get a Ringer, you can tell another player to finish their beer
   
9. The winner is the first player to reach 21 points
   

The great thing about this drinking game is that the more you end up drinking, the worse you get at the game, and the longer the game takes to play. It is a great game to play in teams, like 2 on 2.
