Summary

The drinking game Landmines, also called Kaboom, is about spinning a quarter and trying to finish your beer. You can only drink while your quarter is spinning when it is your turn. Check out the rules and instructions below.

Rules

To setup and play this drinking game, have all players sit in a circle around a flat table or surface. Give all players a full can of beer. Then follow the steps below:

- All players must only use 1 hand for everything
- 1 hand to drink, same hand to spin, pick up the quarter, etc.
- Player 1 spins the quarter with their 1 hand
- Using that same hand, they have to pick up their beer and drink
- They can only drink as long as the quarter is spinning
- Using the same hand, player 1 must put down the beer and pick up the quarter in mid spin.
- If player 1 cannot pick the quarter before it stops spinning, they must get an entirely new beer.
- Now it is player 2’s turn.
- Player 2 does the same thing as player 1, but here the catch.

- LANDMINES! Any player that finishes their beer for any reason can use it to slam down on top of someone else’s quarter in mid-spin. When this happens, the spinner must finish their beer, and the can stays where it is on the table and is now a landmine.

- Landmines make it hard to spin, for obvious reasons.
- If your quarter hits a landmine while spinning, you take a mandatory 4 drinks.
- If your quarter hits a landmine while spinning and it stops the quarter, finish your beer.
- The longer you play the more landmines there will be on the table.

You can add additional rules to this game if you want that allow you to remove other player’s landmines. For example, if you have a FULL Beer, and you are able to finish that beer with one quarter spin, you can either choose to use that can as a landmine like you normally would, OR you can remove someone else’s landmine that might be right in front of you.
