The Major League drinking game is based on the 1980's movie Major League. In the movie, the Cleveland Indians are perennial losers. For years, few things have gone right with the team, and when Rachel Phelps (Margaret Whitton), a former Las Vegas showgirl, inherits the team from her late husband, it doesn't look like their fortunes will change any time soon. The greedy Phelps hates Municipal Stadium and the city, and sees an opportunity to get out of Cleveland: if the team's attendance falls below 800,000 paid customers, she can legally void the Indians' lease with the city and move the team to Miami, Florida.
